Hawaii and Boston College get "Freedom Jerseys"

As part of the ongoing "Wounded Warrior" project, Under Armour has decided to outfit Hawaii and Boston College in a set of stars and stripes laden uniforms, being called "Freedom Jerseys" for one game.

Boston College will wear their white version for their October 27th match up with Maryland and Hawaii will wear their darker version for the November 24th against UNLV.

We hear that the helmets, uniforms, gloves and cleats will all follow an American flag theme and phrases like "honor" and "courage" will fill the name plate on the back of the uniforms.

After the game the jerseys will be auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior project in order to raise awareness and funds for injured service members in need.

Take a look at the uniforms below. Thoughts?

{module 174} Doug Samuels has been with FootballScoop since 2011. Samuels joined the FootballScoop staff after serving as a college scout as well as an assistant coach at the college level, where he was fortunate enough to have coached every offensive position by age 24. Samuels is lifelong Michigan State fan and has admittedly enjoyed the past few seasons when he has been able to look forward to quality football the entire fall, instead of anxiously awaiting college basketball after the first few weeks of the college football season.
