West Virginia: Multiple sources telling us University of Houston grad assistant Landon Hoefer has accepted a grad assistant position at West Virginia. We are told Houston has already identified his replacement. Hoefer played at Texas Tech and served as a grad assistant at East Carolina the past few years and had just accepted the position at Houston last month.
Oulu Northern Lights (Oulu, Finland) Are seeking a Head Football Coach for the 2012 season. You must have a passport and be available beginning April 15-20, 2012. Would prefer someone with head coaching experience and experience in running the “Air Raid Offense”. Contract runs mid-April to early to mid-August. Pay is 1000 euros per month (approx. $1400/mo), round trip airfare, furnished apartment, two meals a day, cell phone, internet, TV, gym membership, bike, use of a car shared between the Imports. Responsibilities include: Coaching the men’s team, assisting with three junior teams three days a week, and possibly coaching a second division men’s team as well. Hanover College: We have confirmed that Denny Dorrel has been hired as defensive coordinator and that Ben Cullen (D-II Fort Lewis defensive coordinator) has been hired as offensive coordinator.
Tampa Bay: We learned tonight that two more Rutgers guys are leaving to join the Bucs. Special teams coordinator Phil Galiano has accepted the assistant special teams job in Tampa and offensive grad assistant Andrew Janocko will serve in an offensive quality control role for Tampa as well.
St. Louis Rams: Rutgers running backs coach Ben Sirmans has accepted the same role with the Rams.
FAU: Sources tell us FAU has now identified their candidate for the open offensive grad assistant position.
Bethel University (NAIA - TN): Sources tell us that running backs coach Alan Hollowell will be promoted to offensive coordinator and inside linebackers / special teams coordinator Willie Fells will be promoted to defensive coordinator.
Oklahoma State: We have learned that Tulsa defensive grad assistant Jason Semore has accepted the defensive quality control position at Oklahoma State and Texas Tech grad assistant Ty Linder has accepted a position on the staff as well (we hear he'll have a grad assistant or quality control position working primarily with the special teams).
Riverside City CC (JC - CA): Sources tell us defensive line coach Don Johnson Jr. has resigned and has accepted the head coaching position at Milwaukie High School in Oregon.
New York Giants: Sources tell us that receivers coach Sean Ryan will move to quarterbacks and offensive assistant Kevin Gilbride Jr. will be promoted to receivers coach.
Stanford: We have learned that Lehigh (FCS) defensive coordinator Dave Kotulski will be named inside linebackers coach at Stanford.
Chaffey College (JC - CA): We hear quarterbacks coach David Portz will be promoted to offensive coordinator.
Norfolk State (FCS): Receivers coach Howard Feggins has been promoted to offensive coordinator.
Hampton (FCS): Sources tell us that Jackson State offensive coordinator Earnest Wilson has been offered the same role at Hampton.
Gardner Webb: We hear Kurt Beathard has accepted the offensive coordinator / quarterbacks job at Gardner Webb. Beathard most recently served on the staff of the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL.
Mount San Antonio (JC - CA): We hear Baldwin Park High School (CA) head coach James Heggins has accepted the corners job at Mount San Antonio.
Esbjerg Hurricanes (Denmark, Europe): The Hurricanes are looking for a new head coach. Looking to fill asap, applicants needs to have passports ready. Applicants should have between 2-10 years experience (preferably on both sides of the ball). The club will pay you 700 euros / month and will pay for an apartment (tv and high-speed Internet), gym, limited insurance and has a sponsor for one meal a day at a restaurant in town. Canes senior team and their U19 team plays in the national league for each age group (Highest ranked league in Denmark) and the season goes from mid April to mid October. Calgary Stampeders: Edmonton special teams coordinator Rick Campbell has been hired as defensive coordinator in Calgary.
Georgia Tech: Paul Johnson will hire Dave Walkosky (of the Calgary Stampeders) as special teams coordinator (a first for Johnson). Walkosky was defensive coordinator / linebackers for the Stampeders and previously served as the head coach at D-II Tiffin in Ohio.
Dordt College: We hear that Seymour High School (IA) head coach Garrison Carter has accepted the offensive grad assistant position at Dordt.
Ohio State: Sources tell us that Cincinnati associate head coach / defensive backs / special teams coordinator Kerry Coombs interviewed yesterday in Columbus with Urban and the staff. Coombs is an Ohio guy through and through. He had an .826 winning percentage at Colerain High School. Don't be surprised if he gets the job.
ESPN: The worldwide leader has hired Bill Polian as an analyst.
Hanover College (D-III - IN): We hear Marietta College defensive coordinator Denny Dorrel has taken the same position at his alma mater, Hanover College.
Cornell: Sources close to the program confirm to us that former All-Ivy corner at Cornell Emani Fenton and former Salve Regina offensive coordinator David Hanna have been hired as full-time assistants. We also hear that Ron McCrone remains on staff.
FAU: We hear the offensive grad assistant job is open.
College of DuPage: We hear former Rock Valley CC and Harper CC defensive line coach Ken DuBose will be named defensive line coach at DuPage.
Bowdoin College (D-III - Brunswick, ME): Bowdoin invites applications for an Assistant Football Coach and Instructor of Physical Education within its Athletics Department.
