The latest from Mack Brown, Rick Neuheisel, and Spurrier
Mack Brown thanks Greg Davis, Mac McWhorter, and Mike Tolleson: "These are three special people who have given a lot of themselves and their families to The University of Texas and its football program. We appreciate everything they've done to help us have such great success during their lengthy stays with our staff at Texas. When you look at the last six years, especially - winning a National Championship in 2005, finishing No. 3 in 2008 and then being the runner-up after a tough loss to Alabama last year - it's just amazing what they've helped us accomplish.
"They are not only great coaches, but men who handled themselves with tremendous integrity, class and dignity on and off the field during their time here. I want to say thank you and wish them well because they will be missed."
Rick Neuheisel would like to move quickly with coaching staff decisions: “I haven't given myself that timetable. I would like to make those decisions quickly but they have to be prudent. I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to make sure I've got everything I need information-wise and done the careful study that that requires."
"I want to look at what the facts are with respect to numbers and I want to have careful reasons as to why it's that way and how we get better. Ultimately we have to be better. And to get better you have to know how to, which means you have to have the reason."
"We have to make decisions that are best for the program. It could be that everybody is back and we keep getting better. I haven't made any conclusions about those kinds of things."

Spurrier says Oregon vs. Auburn will be “60-55, something like that”: "I really think the two best offensive spread coaches in the country are going at it. So it will be heck of a game. Might be 60-55, something like that."
