Miami (FL) OC Whipple misses practice
Miami (FL) offensive coordinator Mark Whipple missed Saturday’s practice, so that he could support his close friend, Chris Berman, in Canton, OH.
Berman was recognized Friday evening as the recipient of the Pete Rozell Radio-Television Award. The annual award recognizes “long-time exceptional contributions to radio and television in professional football.”
The long-time ESPN analyst, Berman, and Whipple were college roommates at Brown University.
Randy Shannon has pushed back Sunday’s practice to 3 pm EST. Whipple will be on the practice field for Sunday’s practice.
Update: Urban Meyer just tweeted that he is flying to Canton, Ohio right now to see Emmitt Smith's Hall of Fame induction.
