Missouri Southern: Missouri Southern State University: an NCAA Division II program part of the MIAA conference located in Joplin, Mo, is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. It is a non-benefited Intern position. This position will also meet the requirements needed to sit for the CSCCa SCCC certification test. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in overall direction and coordination of strength and conditioning programs for 13 varsity sports. Coordinating with coaching staffs of assigned teams to design and implement safe and effective programs. Assisting in the everyday operations of the facility. Applicants must have strong knowledge of teaching technique of Olympic style lifting exercises. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required-Masters preferred in appropriate field. Davidson: The Davidson College Strength and Conditioning department is accepting applications for the Fall Semester of 2014 Athletic Performance Interns. Intern responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Davidson’s 21 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Intern qualifications must include: Strong work ethic; Desire to learn; Enthusiasm; Desire to become a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Marshall: Marshall University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer Interns for the Fall of 2014. The internship begins August 18th and ends December 19th. These are unpaid positions. However, these positions offer an opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours toward a program degree, based on circumstance. The interns that are selected will also have the opportunity to accumulate internship hours in preparation for the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) Certification Process. Daily responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, assistance in the supervision of the Marshall University Football, Baseball and Softball teams, set up and breakdown for daily strength and conditioning activities, routine maintenance, cleaning, and organization of the training facility. Avila (NAIA - MO): Brian Ciolek has become the first director of strength and conditioning at Avila University. Prior to landing the position at Avila, Ciolek was on staff at Park University for five years.

CSU-Bakersfield (CA): California State University Bakersfield is looking to hire a strength and conditioning assistant. This is a ten month, non-tenured position. RESPONSIBILITIES: The person selected will assist the Director of Performance in the day to day operations in the strength and conditioning department. The duties include but are not limited to: Design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for athletic teams. Individual must be competent in the demonstration and teaching of the weightlifting movements, speed and agility drills and conditioning activities. Individual will work closely with the sports medicine staff to ensure a safe working environment, communicate with coaches and other staff concerning sports performance issues, provide performance testing and monitoring, maintaining and cleaning of facility, and provide supervision for the weight room facility. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of three years of successful NCAA Division I experience is preferred.
