Mississippi State to break season-ticket sales record

While season-ticket sales are down at many schools around the country, Mississippi State is set to break their ticket sales’ record, despite an unattractive home schedule.

Over 40,000 season-tickets have been sold, just shy of the 2009 record of 40,901 when the Bulldogs hosted the nation's best home schedule.

In 2009, Bulldog fans flocked to Starkville to watch LSU, Alabama, Florida, GA Tech, Houston, and Ole Miss.

The 2010 schedule includes Memphis, Alcorn State, UAB, and Kentucky.  Auburn, Georgia, and Arkansas also travel to Starkville.

Despite a 5-7 record, Dan Mullen and AD Scott Stricklin have continued to find ways to create momentum in Starkville and throughout the state of Mississippi.

The Auburn game is a Thursday night ESPN broadcast in Week 2.
