Stanford coach: My job is to maintain

Stanford football went 1-11 in 2006.  Last season, Jim Harbaugh's team went 12-1.  Harbaugh went to the 49ers.

First year head coach David Shaw was asked this weekend about his role as the new head football coach.  Shaw responded that he needs to "maintain" what Harbaugh built.  "Our goal is consistency, we like high expectations."

Shaw says his staff will go coast-to-coast each year in search of "20 guys that are good students and good football players...and then you've got to convince them what we have is what they are looking for."

Below is video of Coach Shaw providing some insight into the 2011 season.
