How the coaches voted

USA Today has a great page to show you how each of the coaches cast their votes.

We noticed a few interesting nuggets while taking a look at the list, here's a look at a few.

Houston's ranking was speckled all over the board (actual ranking was #17), including being ranked as high as #9 by Sonny Dykes of Louisiana Tech, and as low as #23 by James Franklin (and a few others).

Big Ten champion, and #8 Wisconsin was put in the #16 slot by Art Briles of Baylor.

Mark Dantonio put Michigan State at #12, followed by in state rival Michigan at #13, while Brady Hoke had the Wolverines at #11 and the Spartans at #13.

Tom O'Brien found a spot for Georgia on his ballot at #7, 11 spots ahead of their actual ranking.

Air Force's Troy Calhoun ranked Oklahoma State 5th, behind both Stanford and Arkansas.

Mack Brown and Texas got one vote in the top 25 from Rice's David Bailiff at #25.

Rocky Long, Brady Hoke's former assistant at San Diego State, voted Michigan 18th, lowest of any coach. The Wolverines actual ranking was 12th.

Note that not every coach has a vote.  Here's the link
