Dantonio finds balance

Mark Dantonio will be searching for his first bowl win against Georgia, and many of the Spartan assistants feel that this has been the best year of his career.

First year Spartan offensive coordinator Dan Roushar said that he thought that the way that Dantonio handled the team's overall focus and motivation and his ability to keep things positive while expressing that continual improvement was needed helped enable their success.

Dantonio said that one of the big challenges as a head coach is to respond to wins and losses equally. "You don’t see me usually jumping up and down too often, nor am I hanging my head too often walking around feeling sorry for myself, I have a great job, great group of young people, great group of coaches that I have the opportunity to be involved with on a daily basis. That’s a beautiful thing. It’s a very humbling thing. But it’s a beautiful thing and I love what I do."

The Spartans (10-3, 7-2) will take on Georgia (10-3, 7-2) January 2nd, at 2 on ABC.
