Twelfth-ranked West Alabama knocked off top-ranked and defending national champion Valodsta State on Thursday night and looked good doing it. The Tigers rushed for 254 yards and threw for 304 more on their way to a 49-30 win. The win halted Valdosta State's 15-game winning streak and avenged a 39-28 last season for West Alabama.
