Photos: Renderings for Colorado State's new stadium look pretty sweet
Colorado State is moving forward with a new stadium project while cutting $20 million from the proposed budget. The 40,000-seat facility would come at a freshly-revised price tag of $226.5 million and replace the 32,500-seat Hughes Stadium, which opened in 1968.
Local reports indicate the feasibility of the project is up for debate, and Colorado State president Tony Frank expects a decision to be made within the next two months whether or not to move to the next stage of the project.
If it were up to Jim McElwain, shovels would already be in the ground. If the Rams can make reality look like the architect's simulations they'll have one of the best game day scenes in the Mountain West.
