Video: "It's time to take calculated risk"

The first four games of Vanderbilt's season didn't quite go the way they had planned. Two tough SEC losses to Ole Miss and South Carolina sandwiched around a scheduled thrashing of Austin Peay, and a win over Massachusetts that can best be described as sluggish.

James Franklin wanted to change the program's energy heading into last week's UAB game. He wanted aggression, from his players and coaches. "It's time to take calculated risk," he said. "...From this point on we're back to playing Vanderbilt football. From this point on. We are going after their ass, and that's how we are playing from this point on."

Four hours later: Vanderbilt 52, UAB 24.

It's hard to imagine a better pre-game locker room atmosphere than Vanderbilt's. I know I'm looking forward to see what tonight's is like as the Commodores meet Missouri.
