Report: USC offered to bring Tedford on board after firing Kiffin

Fox Sports reporter Mike Garafolo published an interesting report earlier today stating that after USC let go of head coach Lane Kiffin, "the school" reached out former Cal head coach Jeff Tedford in an effort to bring him on board as a consultant and recruiter.

According to Garafolo's source, the offer was made with the intent that Tedford would eventually be considered for the permanent head coaching position but he ultimately declined, citing that he is currently focused on finding his next full-time position.

Garafalo does say that Tedford told the school that he would be interested in becoming USC's next head coach.
