Watch film with Texas Tech defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt

One of the most pleasant surprises of this young season has been the play of Texas Tech's defense under its new staff. After placing seventh in the Big 12 scoring defense rankings in 2012, the 4-0 Red Raiders rank third in the conference and 15th nationally, allowing just 13.3 points per game.

The offenses waiting ahead are tougher than what Texas Tech has faced, but the defense should improve from week-to-week as well. The Texas Tech productions people sat down with Red Raiders co-defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt to go over some teaching moments from Saturday's 33-7 win over Texas State.

Most of these segments make sure to accentuate the positive. Kudos to the folks in Lubbock for showing the other side.
