A D2 school has three new helmets, and one of them has a B1G inspiration

The University of Sioux Falls kicks off its 2013 season tonight at Minnesota Duluth, and will do so sporting one of its three new lids. The Cougars will sport a white, purple and black helmet - which isn't that unique these days - but what is unique is that each lid comes with its own design.

And one of them looks an awful lot like what we saw a Big Ten team sport last season.

First, let's check out what the Division II team from South Dakota will wear this fall.

Now compare the black helmet on the top right with what Northwestern wore against Nebraska last season, and you can certainly see where the Cougars got their inspiration.
