Texas Tech reveals much-awaited new look under Kliff Kingsbury
- by Zach Barnett 1 year ago
The uniform world got some news late Friday night as Texas Tech displayed its much-anticipated new look.
These uniforms have been nearly six months in the waiting after word broke in February that new head coach Kliff Kingsbury, universally accepted as the most stylish head coach in college football, had retained creative rights over the Red Raiders' kits.
Now, on the eve of fall camp, they're finally here. The new look is stripier than previous uniforms, including a stripe down the helmet for the first time since the early 1990's, but it's a clean look. UnderArmour completely re-vamped the entire Texas Tech catalouge, supplying the Red Raiders with new gloves, undershirts, skull caps and the like as well as new pants, jerseys and helmets.
Smart money says there's more coming - after all, the Red Raiders haven't displayed a red jersey yet - and we count at least four helmets from this picture that have yet to see the light of day.
