Byrnes (SC): Spartanburg County district athletic director Bobby Bentley is returning to Byrnes as the head coach. Bentley previously served as head coach at Byrnes for 12 seasons, leading them to four straight state titles from 2002-2005.

Odessa Permian (TX): Former Permian assistants Matt Anastasio and Ted Willmann, and Midland native Blake Feldt are the three finalists for the head coaching position. Anastasio is currently the head coach at Gregory-Portland HS (TX), Willmann currently serves as the associate head coach / offensive line coach at Westlake HS (TX) and Feldt is the head coach at Hays HS (Buda, TX).
