Bridgton Academy (ME): Bridgton is an independent, all-male postgraduate boarding school. The Academy's mission is to provide a program for young men in a unique, one-year postgraduate environment to prepare for the rigors of college and beyond. The Academy is in its 203rd year of providing exceptional academic, residential, and co-curricular growth for its students. Bridgton seeks an energetic assistant football coach (offense preferred)/teaching intern for the 2012-2013 academic year. At present, hiring priorities include applicants with strong verbal and interpersonal skills as well as intercollegiate playing or coaching experience with football. The Intern position is an academic-year appointment: August 15, 2012–May 15, 2013. Compensation includes stipend, residence hall accommodations, school term meals, and school vacations. BA teams regularly compete against college junior varsity teams and top prep school teams in the northeast. Colleges such as Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, Curry and Springfield, as well as Navy Prep are just a sampling of the opponents we schedule throughout the year. This type of exposure, especially with college coaching staffs, will be beneficial to student-athletes preparing for college. Bridgton's internship program is designed to serve as an introduction to and preparation for the teaching profession, especially in the private, boarding school environment. The internship includes classroom teaching, coaching, and residential life leadership experience. Interns will receive structured support, professional development, and career advice from faculty mentors. Holly (MI): There will be a teaching & coaching opening at Holly High School. The position will be coaching on the Freshman Staff along with a teaching opening in English / Spanish certification. Interested parties should fill-out an application (will be posted on July 12) at this link.

Socastee (SC): Former Coastal Carolina head coach David Bennett has been recommended-to-hire as the new athletic director.

Westminster Catawba Christian (SC): Head coach Dan Devin has stepped down to accept the defensive coordinator position at Alpharetta HS (GA).

Collins (MS): Ryan Earnest has been named the new head coach.

George Mason (VA): Tony Green has accepted the head coaching job. This will mark Green's second tenure as the head coach at George Mason, previously serving as the head coach from 1992-95.

Laurinburg Institute (NC): Laurinburg has announced that they will be adding football this fall. We are looking for a head coach that is looking to build a program from the ground up to a national contender. The vacancy will be filled by July 20. Only serious applicants please. Stewart County (TN): Kenny Haggard has resigned as head coach at Stewart County.

Scott (KY): We hear that head coach Dave Campbell has resigned to accept an assistant principal job within the school district. We hear that assistant coach Dan Woolley will serve as the interim head coach for the season.

Caldwell (TX): Assistant coach Shawn Brown has been named the defensive coordinator at Sul Ross State (D-III - TX).

Beloit Turner (WI): Ty Kolff has been named interim head coach. Kolff takes over for Andy Coldren, who resigned to become the athletic director.

Deweyville (TX): Along with the head coaching duties, Chris Babin will also serve as the athletic director.

Kountze (TX): Tracey Franklin has been named the new head coach at Kountze HS.

Triton (NC): Ashley Ennis has been promoted to head coach to take over for the retired Joe McCullen

Morrow (GA): We hear head coach Andre Pickering has resigned to accept a position with the Miles College (D-II - AL) staff.

Dale County (AL):  Head coach Pate Harrison has hired Al Gilmore as the offensive coordinator and Will Pouncey as the defensive coordinator. Gilmore served as an assitant at Pike County HS (AL) while Pouncey comes to Dale County HS after serving as an assistant at Elba HS (AL) last season.

Caroline (VA): Athletic director Jeremy Jack has resigned to accept a teaching and assistant coaching postion at King George HS (VA).

Old Town (ME): Nick Arthers has been named the new head coach.

Washington (FL): Craig LaBorde has been accepted the head coaching position. LaBorde previously served as the head coach at Redemptorist (Baton Rouge, LA).
