UConn: Despite an earlier report indicating he would remain on the staff, we understand Tim Pendergast will not return. A former head coach at Cornell and Hamilton College, Pendergast would be an asset to a number of staffs out there.

Washington: Sources tell us that Chris Petersen is trying to bring Mike McHugh on board to serve as his DFO. McHugh spent last season as the DFO at Fresno State, and has also served in the same capacity at Cal (10 seasons) and Oregon. This would mark his third stop in the Pac-12. Update> We understand that McHugh has accepted.

Iowa State: Markus Alleyne has rejoined the staff as assistant athletic director for football operations. Alleyne previously served on the operations staff but had accepted a position with the Fiesta Bowl earlier this year. There are no further openings on the staff at this time. 

        NCAA proposes new "Football Recruiting Rules" 

Langston (NAIA - OK): Langston University is seeking a full-time compliance coordinator. The selected applicant will be head of compliance and have one assistant. NCAA Division II experience is required, as well as a basic knowledge of NAIA compliance rules and regulations. The position is currently open and Langston is looking to fill the spot immediately. Iowa State: DFO Brian Schwartze is leaving the program. We understand that Schwartze has accepted an executive position with a regional company in private industry. He will be missed. Hope to have him back "in the game" someday.
